Amy Erickson is a 51 year old mom to two grown and married children and is currently living in Lake Oswego, Oregon – her own slice of heaven, as she calls it. Along with her best buddy Emma, a 9 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Amy spends lot of time hiking, climbing and camping!
Growing up, Amy was quite the dare devil and grew to be strong willed, stubborn, competitive, fearless and an adventurer. Amy is no stranger to adversities in life: she has had 37 surgeries, has 2 lumbar spine fusions, plates, pins and screws in her back, knees and feet, has had nine concussions and cancer twice. And through it all she has found the strength and power to overcome and her message to girls and women has consistently been: “GO! Grab the beautiful adventure that life has waiting for you beautiful girls! Adventure Awaits!!”
I don’t pause to look up enough. Usually because I will trip and fall down (it happens often). But when I do look up, I never fail to see the intensity of the beauty the wilderness freely offers. This journey has taught me so much. Slow down. Breathe. Be grateful. Don’t take anything for granted. Be childlike in wonder and awe of creation. Thank you all for coming along. I hope you venture out to share this experience….it’ll leave you changed for the better. *********************** #wondermore #savedbygrace #traillife #adventurer #pushforward #pct2017 #mthoodnationalforest #adventureinspired #solobackpacker #hikerslife #elevatedadventure #adventurefueled #hungry_hikers #puttingoldonhold #gratitudeattidue #hikergirl #girlswhohike #hikeoregon #oregonmade #noquitting #livefearlessly #cancersux #findyourwhy #findyourpassion #wildernessculture
