Reigne’s (pronounced ‘Rain’) real name is Szareigne. Reigne grew up in the northern part of the Philippines and is now working as a nurse in Singapore. In between dancing, singing, painting, watching musicals and plays, Reigne makes times to travel and adventure outside of her comfort zone.
A self-professed health conscious and a die hard bargain hunter, she never travels without alcohol wipes and always get a fair price! But most of all she loves meeting new friends from different countries, listening to their incredible stories and sharing hers too.
Reigne believes that as every culture is different, we need to keep an open mind and appreciate even the smallest thing.
On the biggest lesson she has learned as a female solo traveler:
‘It does not matter if it is a 3rd world or a 1st world country, every country is beautiful. I have learned to love getting lost in one place while trying to find my destination because I can always discover great things along the way. It’s a different feeling, specially for me, as a female solo traveler, to mingle with the locals and fellow tourists. It gives me some kind of self satisfaction which I have only experienced when I started traveling alone. I have this deep kind of happiness by just being alone in a foreign country, observing people around me and walking into their streets. When I started traveling solo, I became more independent and wiser in managing my own time and money and I am not afraid to be alone anymore.’
Reigne’s admiration for temples, old infrastructure, history and rich cultures has led her to plan trips to Vietnam, Japan (Kyoto and Tokyo), Bali, Cambodia and South Korea.
In her own words: ‘I just wanna live while I’m alive. It’s now or never!’
Reigne, you are an Adventurous Chica!
